WIN A R150 000 HOLIDAY AND ENTRY UPGRADE AT THE 2017 CAPE PIONEER TREK

If you’re undecided about whether or not to enter the 2017 Momentum Health Cape Pioneer Trek, presented by Biogen, this incentive is sure to crush any doubts. But you’ll have put in for additional leave because it includes an incredible post-race holiday for two.

The annual Cape Pioneer Trek is a UCI-graded seven-day stage race that takes participants through a diverse, scenic route in South Africa’s Western Cape province. It starts in Mossel Bay and incorporates coastal plains with agricultural pastures and natural fynbos; moves to the lush indigenous bush and forest plantations around George; traverses the moist, misty valleys of the Outeniqua Mountains; and finishes in Oudtshoorn via the arid semi-desert of the Karoo and a cresting of the majestic, iconic Swartberg Pass.

The competition prize is valued at R150 000 (10 000 Euro). It includes the following:

  • Platinum Upgrade to the 2017 Cape Pioneer Trek (includes four-star hotel accommodation and a private host for you and your partner)
  • Post-race accommodation at the Queens Hotel in Oudtshoorn
  • An adventure tour of the Cango Caves
  • A VIP tour of the Cango Wildlife Ranch
  • An ostrich safari at Highgate Ostrich Show Farm
  • Accommodation, meals, spa treatments and a Big-Five Safari at Gondwana Game Reserve
  • Plus a standard team entry to the 2018 Cape Pioneer Trek

There will be two of the R150 000 prize packages given away – one to a South African entrant and one to an international entrant. Entry into the competition is guaranteed for those that enter and pay for any team entry package for the 2017 Cape Pioneer Trek before 31 August 2017.

“Situated on the Garden Route, only a four-hour drive from Cape Town, Gondwana Game Reserve is the only Fynbos reserve in the world with free-roaming Big Five game. It’s also malaria-free and combines an array of guest activities that range from Big Five game drives to Africology spa treatments. It’s the perfect place to relax and recover after a week of racing the Cape Pioneer Trek,” said Vanessa Naude, Marketing Manager at Gondwana Game Reserve.

“This new competition allows us to be able to market our region for tourism and give some of our partners an opportunity to leverage their strengths. We have around 25% of our Cape Pioneer Trek entries from overseas and would like to encourage even more. Of course we also have a very loyal South African base and that’s why we decided on giving two prizes away,” explained Henco Rademeyer, co-founder at Dryland Event Management, the company that organises the Momentum Health Cape Pioneer Trek, presented by Biogen.
